Zygaenid Moth  (Zygaenidae Phaudinae Phauda flammans - Walker, 1854)

Taken on the wing at Tai O, Lantau Island, Hong Kong SAR on July 17, 2003.  The reported LFP is Ficus microcarpa.


The male moth in rest position.


Top and Underside views of the male moth;
Wingspan was about 29 mm / 1.2 inches
