Found as a just hatched catepillar the third week of July, 1998, on
a species of Magnolia in North Point, Hong Kong. Pupa duration was
12 days. Note that the female has noticeable tails, whereas the male
(note shown) has only slight tails, as well as the typical Graphium pheromone
brushes and pouches. The wingspan is about 75 mm / 3 inches.

Somtimes the immature larva is totally brown, except
for the forked tail.
