Found as caterpillars on Dioscorea cirrhosa and fordii (near the Lion's Club park in Sai Kung, Hong Kong in late May 2010.
This 3rd instar larva shows the normal behavior of
folding over
itself a leaf edge segment which it has cut out.
The mature caterpillar was about 25 mm / 1 inch long.

The pupa was about 1.4 cm long
The wingspan is about 4 cm / 1.7 inches.
