Inchworm moth (Geometridae Sterrhinae Problepsis vulgaris - Butler, 1889)

Found a single caterpillar on Ligustrum sinense in Shau Kei Wan, Hong Kong on November 8, 2002.


The caterpillar was about 22 mm / 0.9 inches long


The mature caterpillar was about 3.9 cm / 1.5 inches long
