Taken on the wing on Mau On Shan, Hong Kong the last week of October, 1998. It is one of the many dayflying moths in Hong Kong. Some larvae were found on May 2, 1999, feeding on Aporusa dioica on Braemar Hill, North Point, Hong Kong.

The typical Zygaenid cocoon was formed on May 14,
1999.
A cocoon was opened to show the pupa inside.

The male moth below emerged on June 15, 1999.
A female emerged as late as mid-October, 1999!

Wingspan was about 72 mm / 2.8 inches and 49 mm /
1.9 inches, respectively.
The wings and body are edged with iridescent blue.
