Found as a mature larvae at Aldrich Bay Estates, Sau Kei Wan, Hong Kong on August 8, 2003. The larva was feeding on Penta lanceolata. It entered its prepupal stage the next day. Species identification was made by Ian Kitching. Penta has not previously been noted as a LFP for H. rosetta. As a note, the fras pellets of this mature larvae were really large, about 8 mm in diameter by 15 mm long and somewhat cone shaped.

Pupation took place on Aug 10, 2003.
The pupa was 4.5 cm / 1.8 inches long.
The moth emerged on Aug 22, 2003.
