Tiger Moth(Arctiidae Arctiinae Nyctemera adversata - Schaller, 1788)

Taken on the wing at Admiralty, Hong Kong near the Zoological and Botanical Gardens the third week of December, 1998.  It is one of the many day flying moths in Hong Kong.  Caterpillars were found in April, 1999, feeding on Gyaura crepidioidae next to a small stream on Braemar Hill, North Point.  First emergence was on May 12.  Another adult was observed flying at Braemar Hill the first week of October, 1999.
